Salford clinched the runners-up spot in the NJCL by the narrowest of margins following a convincing win over Manchester Maccabi.

A low-scoring contest saw Salford run out victors by 40 runs. They claimed 18 points to Maccabi’s seven.

Batting first, Salford posted 146-8. Maccabi were skittled for 106.

The day’s other match saw Leeds beat Bury by 10 wickets.
