The opening few weeks of the MGBSFL season saw some fantastic individual performances, but the goal-scoring achievements of Oakwood B hotshot Jacob Richler Kleiman earned him my first MGBSFL Player of the Month award.

The former Manchester Maccabi marksman hit the target eight times in September to propel his Oakwood team to second in Division One. He finished with eight goals in three games and started October in fine fettle by firing a match-winning hat-trick.

His manager, Jason Stein, described him as "cool and collected in front of goal" and highlighted his recent four-goal salvo against Blancos, with a broken nose. Stein commented: "Jacob has a goal-scorer instinct and turns his chances into goals."

Ray Abrahams of Scrabble FC marked his return from a 10-year sabbatical from Sunday morning football by winning the best manager accolade.
