Jamie Harris believes his team's strength in depth came to the fore as Haroldeans maintained the pressure at the top thanks to a hard-fought win over South Manchester 2nd.

Player-manager Jamie Harris and Ben Kersh were on target as the Merseysiders, who were missing seven regulars, registered an important victory.

Harris said: "After slow starts in our last few games, we were determined to get on the front foot early on. The first goal calmed us down and we started to enjoy ourselves.
