Les Blackston believes the good times are back at Republic of Mancunia following weeks of upheaval at the club.

Republic recently parted company with first team manager Stuart Shapiro despite having only unveiled him at the start of the season.

The departure of star striker Moshe Hasid, rumours of friction within the squad and a poor run of results ultimately led to Shapiro’s departure.

But Blackston, who will take charge of Sunday’s game with league leaders Haroldeans, says the famous Republic spirit is emerging once again.
