Noah Rubin was crowned Junior Boys Singles champion at Wimbledon on Sunday.

The American concluded a memorable run with a thrilling victory over sixth seeded Stefan Kozlov in the final on Court 1.

Rubin ran out 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 victor against his countryman before embracing his father in the crowd in a contest that lasted more than two hours.

Playing in only his second junior event of the year, Rubin, who trains with the John McEnroe school of tennis in New York, progressed from the qualifiers on his way to the prestigious crown. "It was just point by point, match by match. Eight matches later, this is where I am," he said.
