Aron Luftig and Jonti Aremband hit doubles as new boys RCUK FC earned one of the upsets of the round with a 6-0 routing of first division Brixton.
Bizarrely Brixton turned up with 11 but only started with 10 as one of their men walked off before the game even started. RCUK didn't let that effect them and they got on with our own game-plan.
As often is the case, they found 10 men harder to break down then 11 as Brixton played a very compact game and so RCUK didn't get the breakthrough until after half- time, although they were rarely troubled.
A poor back-pass led to two Brixton players bearing down on goal with what looked like a certain goal but RCUK's cup keeper Nati Kind, came out, spread himself well and then pulled off unbelievable save from the first man and followed it up with another stunner at the feet of the second.
That proved to be the turning point as RCUK finished wave after wave of attacks in ruthless fashion, with Avi Mocton and Dudi Edryei completing the rout.
RCUK FC player-manager Avi Markiewicz told JC Sport: "Critics may say that we played 10 men and that was a result that always should have been, but Brixton are an experienced team and we are brand new and coming off the back of a couple of disappointing results.
"To beat a team that is a division higher than you is an amazing achievement under any circumstances, never mind to so in such emphatic fashion.The way we responded was excellent.
"Even at half time when it looked like it could be 'one of those weeks again' we didn't let our heads drop or just start to lump it forward, instead we persevered with crisp passing football and in the end the result reflected our quality and dominance in the game."
"Once we scored the first though, there was no looking back and we bagged another five in that half. The pick of the goals was a 30-yard screamer from Aremband that flew over the goalkeeper's head leaving him with no chance.
"We could even have had a couple more if not for some very questionable linesman calls that ruled out what looked like two perfectly legal goals."
