Top Israeli squash player Daniel Poleshchuk justified his number one seeding in the boys Under 15 category by winning the Belgium Junior Open tournament.

Poleshchuk, a Millfield School scholar was the standout performer in a tournament featuring 300 of the top European players from 27 countries.

Speed around the court coupled with clinical finishing made him one of the most watchable players. All 10 Israeli youngsters justified their seeding with notable exceptions being Under 13 player Ido Burstein competing in his first international tournament. Seeded 43, he finished 18th out of 64 participants. Recent barmitzvah boy Nadav Raziel, seeded 41st, finished 31st in the Under 15 competition, also in a group of 64.
