Jerusalem entertained England B on a cold night in the capital in what would prove to be another masterclass of attacking football.
With three late drop outs leaving them with only one substitute, manager Richard Pater jigged things around, getting his tactics spot on for a 7-2 victory to put Jerusalem top on goal difference.
Jerusalem opened the scoring on 11 minutes, when prolific striker Moishe Lewis put away David Preston’s cross.
The second came in the 22nd minute in what was arguably the pick of the goals.
Ori Kobi, making his return to the side, picked out Lolu Hibbert with a perfectly angled cross for the midfielder to crack in a volley from just inside the box.
The first half was one-way traffic with Jerusalem surging forward in wave after wave.
However poor finishing, good keeping and the woodwork on a couple of occasions, kept the first half score down to 2-0 at the interval.
The second half started with a resurgent England, knowing that the next goal would prove crucial.
However it was Lewis who cut in from the left to beat the keeper at his near post in the 52nd minute for his
second of the evening to make it 3-0.
That alleviated any fears that Jerusalem had that they would be punished for not putting the game to bed in the first half.
If anything, this seemed to revive the away side, and their two hard working forwards were rewarded, when a shot across the box crept in under the keeper in the 55th minute to make it 3-1.
However, the comeback only lasted for two minutes, as Eran Ben-Ari tapped in his first of the evening to make it 4-1.
On 62 minutes, England were gifted a second, when a cross was inadvertently headed into his own net by Hibbert for an own-goal to make it 4-2.
From then on, Jerusalem upped a gear with three quality strikes to run out comfortable winners.
Ben-Ari collected his second of the night and fifth in two games with a strike from the edge of the box on 70 minutes.
A minute later, Hibbert made up for his own goal with his second of the night from an acute angle.
Ten minutes from time, Lewis completed the rout with a strike from just outside the box, to complete an impressive 3rd hat-trick in 4 games.
