Old Parkonians defeat MAL

MAL suffered a second consecutive defeat as a severely weakened team took on Old Parkonians in Ilford.

Three debutantes again showed that there is depth out there, but it wasn't to be on a hard batting track with lightning-quick outfield.

MAL skipper Mark Landau won the toss and inserted the opposition, who came out in positive mood from the off, though surviving the odd scare.

Mark Landau and Yanky Baddiel bowled decent opening spells but were finding it difficult to stem the flow of runs. Slow bowlers Avi Gelley and guest Richard Mitchell managed to slow things down going for just 33 and 32 off their 7 overs respectively, both picking up a wicket.
