Dan Kristall says Oakwood were a joy to watch as they stormed into the third round of the League Cup with a 5-2 mauling of Premier Division rivals Blizzard Storm.
The Oaks showed great quality as they bounced back from their first defeat of the season, against Hendon, storming into a 4-0 lead in a game where braces from Guy Helman and Dave Woolman plus a penalty from Kyle Bentwood eased them through.
Aron Luftig and Avi Markowitz registered for Blizzard.
Oakwood joint-manager Dan Kristall told JC Sport: "We dominated from start to finish and it really should have been a lot more than the 5-2 score-line. As soon as we scored the first goal, we looked like the only winners.
"Fair play to Blizzard in the second half for having a go but other than a 10-minute blip in second half where we let them back in, we were opening them up at ease. We must improve our finishing in future games but some of our moves were a delight to watch.
"We played some great attacking football and used the pace of Woolman to cause them problems all morning. We continued our great start to the season and we're targeting a big cup run. We look forward to the draw for the next round where we fear nobody."
Blizzard boss Simon Linden told JC Sport: "It was never going to be easy with so many players away but the boys did ever so well to recover from 4-0 down to get themselves back into the game second half.
"It's all about the league this season, we have a huge game against Camden next week and I hope to have a big squad available."
