Tony Gold says London Lions can take nothing for granted when they return to action at Southall next week.
The South Midlands League Division One leaders were left frustrated by two postponements which has resulted in no matches for three weeks.
Gold said: "The plan is to continue to work hard, continue to strive for perfection and to ensure the players remain focused and never ever take a second for granted. Football can be a cruel game and if we take our eye off the boil the situation can change very quickly.
"We have already played 31 competitive games this season. The players know what is at stake, they are a sensible group and enjoyed the break but kept themselves ticking over.
"Our main quality which has separated us from our rivals this season is the quality of the football we have been playing. When we are in the zone and our football falls into place very few sides in our league have lived with us this year.
"The players in the main have a great work ethic and in tight matches we have been far more patient trying to win games."
The emergence of striker Adam Bolle has impressed Gold. He has scored 12 goals in eight league games, 18 in all competitions, and currently sits fourth in the league goal-scoring charts.
"Quite simply, he is a winner," said Gold. "He brings a winning mentality and a real hunger.
"The role he plays for the side is one of the toughest and most demanding. He works incredibly hard for the team and reaps the rewards for his persistence and unselfish play. He has been a great signing and is a credit to himself."
The Lions boss says striker Paul Hakim may not be the last of the new signings. "I'm always on the lookout for Jewish players who will strengthen what we already have, but these players are becoming harder and harder to find," he said.
"Our philosophy will never change. We will always play our free-flowing football. What has changed is our ability to adapt. We now have the squad and players to mix it up if necessary. So whilst the winter surfaces don’t suit us per say, we will do what we have to in order to get the points.
"Whilst we remain on the top of the league every team we face will want to shoot us down. If winning this league or gaining promotion becomes a reality then it would without doubt be the highlight of my career."
