Three out of four events at Sunday’s National Shul Table Tennis League (NSTTL) Championships saw new entrants defeat all before them to take the crown.

New boys Wembley Sephardi registered a victory in their debut appearance in the Junior event, while Norrice Lea 2nd took the Junior Consolation title in their maiden outing at the event.

Wembley’s Kaye brothers proved an unbeatable duo as their side topped their group against experienced opposition in Radlett United, and they also saw off the challenge from Kinloss 1st, Muswell Hill and Norrice Lea 2nd.

"Players from 21 Shul Teams competed and over half of them were new," said NSTTL’s Adam Black. "There’s a wave of enthusiasm for table tennis in the Jewish community and it’s growing bigger and bigger. With new talent and huge support from Maccabi GB, table tennis is going places."
