LONDON MACCABI LIONS C 3 REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE C 1

London Maccabi Lions C got off to a roaring start to the new season as they showed their bouncebackability from being a goal down against Redbridge C.

Redbridge's opened the scoring following from a mix-up in the middle of the park from a challenge on Hadley Silver by Sam Senchal. All players stopped thinking the whistle had gone when in fact it hadn’t. In the midst of the confusion Richard Gold decided to be a mensch and pass the ball back to Redbridge. The Redbridge boys took advantage of the gift and when the ball fell to David Castle he lashed it into the corner of the goal.

With Lions a goal down, they continued to play their football, playing through the midfield, attacking on the wings and it was not long until Lions main man James Gold got to the box before laying it square for Lions new signing Joey Lazare to place the ball in the back of the net.
