Adam Glekin praised the impact of new boy Eli Shebson as MGBSFL leaders Hendon United Sports Club B returned to winning ways with a vital 3-1 win away to Faithfold C at the Hive.

The opening 20 minutes of this Division Two affair were a tight and cagey, but Hendon gradually began to impose themselves and they took the lead when a corner dropped at the feet of Sammy Barron who kept his composure to sweep the ball in and maintain his fine goal-scoring form in what could be his final appearance before making Aliyah.

Hendon doubled their lead shortly after as Ben Blackston's flighted cross found debutant Eli Shebson who brought the ball down well and lashed home.

Hendon should have made the game safe at the beginning of the second half as they created further chances but were denied by some decent saves from the Faithfold keeper.
