Nevo secures silver at European Swimming Championships

Olympic-bound Gal Nevo claimed silver at the European Swimming Championships in London.

Nevo, who has already qualified for Rio 2016, touched home in 1:59:69 after a strong finish in the 200m individual medley final.

The 28-year-old Israel is also scheduled to compete in the 400m IM later this week.

Fellow Israelis Guy Barnea and Jonatan Kopelev have reached the final of the 50m backstroke.
