National success for Abridge

Abridge won the main prize at the National Club Championship at Dyrham Park Golf & Country Club.

The Essex club collected the Dyrham Park Trophy after finishing ahead of Moor Allerton with an impressive aggregate score.

The competition was open to all clubs and societies affiliated to the Association of Jewish Golf Clubs and Societies to enter teams of six low handicap golfers to compete for the Dyrham Park Trophy awarded to the team, with the best aggregate of two scores in the morning foursomes and four scores in the afternoon singles.

The best performance in the foursomes was produced by Marshall Newman and Mark Copeland of Moor Allerton with a gross 76, nett 71.
