The squad features some of the best young talent in Jewish Futsal and includes a number of players who were part of the gold-medal winning team at the 2015 European Maccabi Games in Berlin.
Warren commented: “We have a good mix of experience and newcomers coming to an international event.
“Ben, Luke, Mikey, Joe and Lior are new to Futsal and this is their first experience of a major Jewish international competition whereas Jamie, James, Alex and Ethan were all part of the under-16 squad who won gold in Berlin at the European Maccabi Games.”
Speaking about his expectations for the Games, Myers said: “To be involved in a Maccabiah and represent our country is very special and both Scott and I are very excited about the journey ahead with our talented squad of players.
“We will aim to give all the boys the full Maccabiah experience both on and off the court and will be working hard over the coming months to make sure we are well prepared to have a genuine chance of the gold in Israel.”
