Brady Maccabi are trying to complete the double for the third time in four years. Here we get up close and personal with the class of 2010/11.
Manager: Daniel Collins: Vice-Chairman of the Club and now Maccabi GB Vice-Chairman & Head of Sport.Somehow Daniel manages to find time to manage the team amongst his many other commitments. His secret - a very understanding family! Looking to pick up his eighth piece of Masters silverware before concentrating on his role as Senior Team Manager in the European Games taking place this July in Vienna
Players:
Adam Miranda (Goalkeeper): An excellent season for Adam has meant Brady has let in the least amount of goals in the league. Some of his saves have been quite spectacular
Jason "Harry" Harris (Left-back and Team Captain): This "baby-faced and long-haired" defender scares wingers with his tough tackling and confuses opponents with his overlapping runs. Will thoroughly enjoy the space Underhill's large pitch will give him tonight.
Nigel Goldthorpe (Centre-back): Nigel in his second season in Masters football has been Brady's best player and hasn't missed a single game. His speed and agility has meant strikers have come across a player they are not used to in masters football and definitely one of the first names down in the teamsheet
Adam "Gish" Gishen (Centre-back/Centre-mid): Another new signing this season into Masters football, Gish has formed an excellent partnership with Nigel Goldthorpe. Very few strikers at this level can compete with them and hopefully they will be the basis on which Brady's Masters A Team will be built on for years to come
Jonathan "Vandy" Vandermolen (Centre-back):. This is Vandy's second season in Masters Football. Unfortunately like last season an injury has meant he has missed a number of games but when he does play it is always with 100 per cent commitment
Brian Donne (Right-back/Centre- back): Brian cultured football brain means that at almost 50 he can still compete at the top level. He truly is an example to us all. Long may he continue playing.
Paul "Shamps" Shamplina (Right-back/Midfield): A new signing this season, Shamps has been extremely consistent in his performances popping up with a couple of important goals. Good luck to Shamps in his role as Player Coach of the Masters futsal team in Vienna
Jonathan "Jonty" Feldman (Right-back): Jonty has missed most of the season due to injury but now he is back to fitness no defender likes playing against him. His passion and commitment as always has been excellent although he still talks of retirement but we will all know he loves his Sunday mornings with Brady
Perry "Pez" Yam (Centre midfield & Team Vice-Captain): Perry has not missed a match either this season and this is by far his best season with us. He seems to be improving with age and his passion for the team has been an example to everyone
Laurence "Lol" Beck (Midfield/Striker): One of the best players in the league, Laurence has the experience and pedigree to win any game. A master passer of the ball, tonight's pitch will suit his full range of skills
Laurence Myers (Left midfield): Lol's cultured left foot and dribbling skills has meant a constant supply of great crosses for Brady's strikers and his telepathic understanding with Jason has given us an extremely strong left side in games
Max Radford (Midfield/Striker): A good first season for Brady, Max has excellent technical ability and now he is settled in his favourite position of right midfield. Brady are seeing the best of him. As part of the Masters futsal squad going to Vienna this summer. His teammates wish him well
Scott "Scotty" Ansher (Right-mid/Striker): His electrifying pace torments the left backs of the league and you can also count on him to score his customary 40 yarder over the keeper's head. This season's second-top scorer with 12 from 18 appearances. Not bad at all
Marc "Waggers" Wagman (Striker): A fantastic season for Waggers has meant that not only has he played every match but he has scored 29 goals in 18 appearances. A formidable strike rate at any level, even more so when you consider that his strike partner from last season, Nick has been injured all year. Well done Mark and good luck in Vienna with the Masters Futsal squad
Jonathan "JC" Cohen (Striker): Truly remarkable is that JC is back playing after having a hip replacement earlier in the season. Real determination has got back playing and for that we applaud him. Selected to manage the GB Open Futsal team at this years European Maccabi games in Vienna, his teammates wish him luck
Neil Kochane (Midfield/Striker): Another new signing to Masters football Neil, when he plays Neil shows a turn of speed rarely seen in Vets football. Big things are expected of him in the seasons to come.
