Mike Bloomberg launched his Haroldeans reign in style after condemning Reich Insurance Rangers to their first defeat.
The Merseysiders are expected to mount a challenge for the MJSL title this season. And they did not disappoint here, with Adam Shiffman, Jack Bookey and Barnett registering in an impressive 3-0 success.
Skipper Jonny Harris told JC Sport: "I'm hopeful we can have a good season. It’s about ensuring we boast a competitive squad every week. If we can do that then we will be challenging at the right end of the table."
Reich joint-manager Tony Rosenberg told JC Sport: ""I'm sure they will continue to work hard and we will have a decent season. We will aim for the top. There's no point otherwise."

Zac Marks believes there’s cause for optimism despite new-boys Prestfield slipping up on their MJSL debut.
Prestfield saw Jonny Franks – a prolific goalscorer with the now defunct Heaton Park over the years – and Marcus Buchanan net.
But South Manchester Sports 2nd hit back to snatch the points thanks to Ethan Krell’s brace and a Louis Rawlings strike.
Player-boss Marks said: "It's the first time we have played together and we played very well. It was a great game which could have gone either way.

Marcus Jackson capped a man-of-the-match display with the winner for early pace-setters Maccabi Manchester Yellow in their 3-2 derby win against the Blues.
The Yellows led twice via Rafi Dines and Oli Grant but were pegged back on each occasion by Harry Magolis and Ben Gould for Jonny Rose's Blues. But Jackson popped up with the second-half winner for Anton Radiven’s men.
Yellow boss Radiven said: "It's early days but we couldn’t have asked for a better start.
