A four-goal blast from Joseph Mann inspired Reich Insurance Rangers to the result of the day in the MJSL as they crushed early-season pacesetters Maccabi Yellow.
Maccabi had won four of out of their opening five matches but they had no answer to a rejuvenated Reich who were previously without a point. Benji Harris added the gloss in a memorable 5-0 success, with all the goals coming in the first half.
Ben Newman was best on show for the Yellows who had Sammy Dennison sent off for dissent just before half-time.
Gal Rowenski was the hat-trick hero as Oakhill Lions could be the surprise package of the season as they hit Manchester Maccabi Blue for six.
Moses Seitler and Avi Libbert werealso on the mark in a game the Lions led 2-0 at half time. Nathan Pitt scored for the Blues and was their star performer on the day.
Elsewhere in the Joan Collins Premier Division, South Manchester Sports 2nd beat Haroldeans 4-2.
Leading 1-0 at the break, Jack Rowe scored a brace for South with one each from Josh Darcy and Harry Nelson.
Dave Killey and Alistair Goldsmith replied for the Merseysiders who picked up three cautions - Adam Boyers, John Harris and Alistair Goldsmith. Keeper Mike Cross had a very good game with Rowe best on show for South.
In the Morrison National Trophy, a great performance from the MJSL reigning champions Leeds Maccabi meant they edged through on penalties 7-6 against Woodford Wanderers of the MGBSFL.
The tie finished 1-1 after normal time and extra-time, but it was the Yorkshiremen who held their nerve to progress to the next round to be played in November.
