Tony Milch is keen to impress upon his return to York Hall later this month.
Light-middleweight Milch is in top shape as he looks to register his eighth victory since turning professional in Bethnal Green on July 18.
"Preparations are going very well,” said Milch, who lives in Highgate.
"I’ve been training hard with coach Ian Burbedge and if all goes to plan I’ll look to step up to an eight or 10-rounder.
"I fought at York Hall as an amateur but never as a professional. Even speaking to my grandmother, it’s still known as the home of boxing. It’s an amazing place.
"All the greats of our time and from the history books have fought there. I feel lucky to be returning there and fighting there and hope to see lots of Jewish support on the night. I want to fight for a title later this year.”
Ian Burbedge believes there is still room for improvement for the unbeaten Milch. “I’m looking for Tony to use his jab more, to be more authoritative and take charge in the ring,” he said.
"Tony has been guilty of being too nice and too respectful, so I’m looking for him to go hard from the off and stamp his authority."
Milch said he felt disturbed about this weekend’s scheduled neo-Nazi rally, which has been moved from Golders Green to central London.
"My grandfather fought for this country as a captain in the British army and I’m a strong believer in fighting for peace,” he said.
"I’m a strong supporter of the coexistence movement, so to even mention the word Nazi in this day and age is crazy. To think that a rally of this nature can take place is mind-boggling."
