DANNY CARO'S QUOTE OF THE WEEK
ROB SHOOMAN (Faithfold B) - "The game in general was quite good with both sides having about equal possession, but when you have no luck whatsoever running for you and three clearances result in own goals coming from the ball being hit against a defenders head, side and back and rebounding into the net, you do start to wonder if there is a G-d, and if there is, what did we do to deserve that"

CYRIL ANEKSTEIN CUP FINAL
DINKIN MAKES OAKS PAY THE PENALTY
NORTH LONDON RAIDERS A 2 OAKWOOD A 1
A late penalty from David Dinkin helped North London Raiders retain the Cyril Anekstein Cup following a hard-fought win over Oakwood at Wingate & Finchley on Sunday afternoon.
Ricky Engleman broke the deadlock towards the end of the first half but Oakwood were rewarded for a good period of pressure with an equalising goal from top-scorer Dave Woolman.
NLR joint-manager Rob Richman told JC Sport: "We're absolutely elated to have retained the cup. It wasn't the greatest cup final, a quite scrappy affair but in the end we just had that bit of quality to get us over the line."
Oaks co-boss Ric Blank felt the build-up to the penalty award was "offside" and told JC Sport: "Overall we're disappointed as there was nothing between the teams."
Raiders hope to seal the double when they return to league action against Harmen on May 1.
DC Prediction: Raiders 2 Oakwood 1
