FC TEAM A vs HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB A
David Seitler is the name on the lips of Hendon fans following last weekend’s stunning comeback against Oakwood.
Boss David Garbacz described him as “a very special player” after the midfield man instigated the 5-1 victory against last season’s Morrison runners-up.
Garbacz is looking forward to Sunday's tie with high hopes. He told JC Sport; "We are in confident mood after last week’s excellent performance against Oakwood. We were really solid all over the park, especially for the last hour, and were probably our most threatening as we’ve been all season going forward as Dave Seitler Dovi Fehler and Avidan Last proved a huge handful.
"It will not be as easy to play good football this week with the game scheduled for west Hendon and I expect much more of a battle. FC team are a big, strong team led by ex-Hendon boy Yoav Lebens and they will be raring to go and fancying their chances.
"We are due to meet them in both cups and we know they will prove a big obstacle in us continuing to defend our trophies, but we are in a good place and assuming we are anywhere near as lethal as last week we should in theory be able to book our passage through."
Sunday features the mouth-watering prospect of Seitler going head-to-head with Lebens, in one of several key clashes.
Team head coach Ben Gilbey predicts "a hard game," with three key players missing. He told JC Sport: "We now have a bigger squad to pick from with players returning from injuries.
"Hendon won the treble last year, so we know that they are a force to be reckoned with. I have said before that I believe on our day, when we are taking our chances, we can beat any team in the MSFL, for me the struggle is more in finding the consistency, which we are working on.
"One thing is for sure, you can expect a thriller on Sunday!
With Dovi Fehler back in the goals only a brave man would bet against the cup holders progressing in what could be a real war of attrition.
JC team news: Team are missing Rob Sanford and captain Jamie Breslaw.
There's still no Ari Last or Yoav Kestenbaum for Hendon, and Ari Nevies is doubtful with a groin injury. Rafi Kon returns, as does Ethan Zone.

FC TEAM B vs HEATON PARK ROVERS
Having returned to the top of Division Two, FC Team B will be looking to join the likes of Harmen and some other illustrious clubs when they entertain MJSL high-flyers Heaton Park.
Team were at their clinical best against Jewdinese last weekend, they simply blew them away with a combination of pace and power. Boss Mitch Young was delighted to see Andy Sheena back among the goals, with Richard Salmon and Lorian Madanes and Dec Selbo completing the win.
But Young is expecting HPR to be a totally different kettle of fish altogether. He told JC Sport: “We are expecting a very tough test against Heaton. I must admit we do not know much about them, but we know they have only lost one game and have a striker who scores goals for fun in their Premier Division.
“Heaton start as overwhelming favourites so there will be a lot of pressure on them, especially having made the trip down.
“However we want to progress to the national quarter-finals and will be doing all we can to get there. If we can perform the way I know we can then I would expect us to progress. It is a cup tie so anything can happen and it should be an exciting match.”
HPR were involved in some late drama against Leeds Maccabi last week, but it’s time to wipe the slate clean ahead of what is unbelievably their first match in the competition. They were drawn against Faithfold B and A respectively but on both occasions their opponents withdrew.
Jonathan Franks has been in prolific form this season and his battle with Oliver Segal will influence the tie. There’s also an intriguing battle between the lively Harry Roache and Danny Moss.
It’s definitely not one to miss.

NORTH WEST NEASDEN vs NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS C
JC Manager of the Week Zack Gothelf can smell a major upset as he takes Division Two strugglers Raiders C to Premier Division Neasden in a real David versus Goliath affair.
Neasden have risen to every challenge in the cup thus far, but they can expect a tough battle against a Raiders team with nothing to lose.
Liam Stein was among a number of outstanding performances in the famous L’Orange jerseys in the stunning 5-3 win over FC Team C last week, a side littered with former Neasden players in the shape of Adam Stolerman and Dan Stanton.
NLR's David Domb know that they start the game as underdogs, but I believe that if they show no fear, they can push NWN close. He told JC Sport: Apart from us, I'm not sure there was anyone who thought we'd get a result last weekend. I can imagine there will be a similar mind-set this time around.
"We know this Neasden side, having met them in pre-season for the last two years. It's a great opportunity, in a competitive fixture, to test ourselves against top-tier opposition. It's a tie we're all looking forward to."
NWN have been down to the bare bones at times this season. Adam Arnold’s double earn them a point at Woodford last week but much more than pride is on the line on Sunday.
Ahead of the tie, NWN boss Stirling Kay told JC Sport: “This will be a welcome break from the league, however we are under no illusion how difficult this game will be.
“We have all to lose, they having nothing to lose – it’s what they call a banana skin. It’s been made even tougher with news this week that Josh Gilbery had a knee operation and will be out until next season and his brother, Kane, will be out till next season with groin complications, and will be starting treatment straight away. Both will be a big loss to the squad we wish them both a speedy recovery.
“We struggle every week to get 11 out what with our other long-term injuries and this week is no different. On the plus side the team have been digging in and the last four or five games we have shown some true metal and togetherness which showed in our disappointment in not getting all three points last week.
“We are very much up for winning some silverware. It would be nice to give squad players a game, but we don’t have any so it’s a case of all hands to the deck. Our objective is to stay in the Premier and have a good run in the cup. This is very much on as we are still in both cups and we have all our rivals very much in sight.
“We could do with adding one or two more regular players or part-time players to a small but very talented squad.”
JC team news: Andy Cohen is set to return for NLR after missing the last month through injury, while Josh Bloom and Daniel Polak are both available and will be involved.

FAITHFOLD A vs MACCABI LONDON LIONS BLUE
An ugly 1-0 win will do Faithfold right now. Just ask manager Zuriel Solomon whose squad has been injury and poor availability this season.
Lying second bottom, Faithfold fans are starting to fear the worst after last week’s battering at the hands of Raiders. You had to feel for emergency keeper Mark Charles as seven goals flew in.
Solomon is not one to feel sorry for himself and is keen to move on quickly. He told JC Sport: "Form has not been great, though we've had lots of excuses. But it is what it is. Every game now is crucial and we need to start picking up points.
"Lions will be tough more so as we won't know what sort of team we are playing, but will have to be at our best.
"We will have a few back from injury, but will not know till later today after training our full squad."
The Lions were also well beaten last Sunday, with Rick Jacobson’s opener proving little more than scant consolation as they were eventually overran by a good Redbridge team.
There’s a certain six-pointer feeling about Sunday’s match as Faithfold attempt to drag the Lions into a real relegation scrap.

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE A vs WOODFORD WANDERERS
Sam Rosenthal must be contemplating trying to keep Daniel Garfinkle in his squad for Sunday’s derby meeting with Woodford.
The B-team top-scorer took to life in the Premier like a duck to water, scoring three of the best in the 5-1 demolition of Lions. Dean Nyman also registered, as did Ben Sollosi, who is starting to look back to his best, according to some of the RJC fans I’ve spoken to.
RJC are eyeing their seventh win in eight matches, knowing victory would see them finish the weekend in top spot.
Boss Sam Rosenthal told JC Sport: “We go into the game on the back of two very positive results.
“We are just looking forward to getting out there. Woodford are menshes and are always good value.”
Darryl Green ensured Woodford started life under new boss Mitch Hahn with a hard-earned draw against Neasden.
Hahn was fearful of his troops getting dragged into a scrap before the game, but he’s hoping they can rise to the occasion against a team with strong credentials.
Woodford are 7-1 to win, but Hahn sounded confident they can finish the weekend outside of the relegation zone when I caught up with him earlier in the week.
He told JC Sport: “Apparently Redbridge are on a good run and we unfortunately in a dogfight at the bottom, so we will go in to the game underdogs.
“We have a couple of players missing, but we will go in to the game with positive thoughts and do what we can to get a result.”
With some key men returning for RJC, I can’t see them slipping up.

BLIZZARD STORM vs LOS BLANCOS
Blizzard and Blancos have enjoyed some almighty battles over the years and Sunday shouldn’t be any different.
Both teams look well-equipped to push for promotion in the new year and a big three points are on the line this weekend.
Simon Moses and Adam Waters are bang in form for the visitors, but it Adam Hersh who was their star against Brady last time out. Trailing 3-0, he came off the bench to inspire the Blancos boys to a memorable comeback, with Moses registering twice against his former club.
But Blizzard also have some form men up their sleeve in the shape of Oli Henry and Dean Shaw. But manager Simon Linden is taking nothing for granted.
He told JC Sport: “I’ve been very impressed by Blancos’ form recently, especially the two wins against Camden. It's a game I'm looking forward to.
“We want to go into 2015 with a good chance of being in the running so it's vital we pick up another three points.”
The teams start the match locked on 14 points, though Blizzard have games in hand. So it really is a must-win for Blancos who will be looking to avenge October’s 5-0 humiliation.

CAMDEN PARK vs ATHLETIC BILBAUM
Camden’s win over Brixton was just what the doctor ordered last week. The players were desperate to produce a result to get manager Nick Kagan smiling again and the goals-for column was given a timely boost as they ran in eight goals without reply.
Back-to-back wins will be the order of the day as they attempt to keep up the pressure on Raiders and Redbridge.
Ahead of the visit of Bilbaum, Camden’s Max Saunders told JC Sport: “After a terrible November, with unavailabilities and losses a plenty, we’ve all come together as a squad under the realisation that we really have to step things up to reach our objective of promotion.
“It’s all out of our hands as we are now relying on other teams to drop points, but all we can do is take each match as it comes and do everything we can to get three points.
“Last week’s win against Brixton was a great start, but it now counts for nothing and we must raise our game again this weekend. If we can manage to get promoted, based on the position we are currently in, it will be a fantastic feat and is one which we are capable of and fully motivated do everything to try and achieve.”
Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Athletic Bilbaum. They go into the Camden game on the back of their worst defeat of the season, which was only the second time they’ve failed to score this term.
The Baums failed to carry on where they left off against Raiders B and if they concede early on Sunday, you have to fear for them.
JC team news: The Marks brothers are away on a family holiday for Camden, whilst Sam Bennett and Ben Harris are still on the treatment table. However, they are pleased to report that their medical team have advised that “Ben Harris is making a steady recovery from his knee ligament injury and could make a return as early as the end of January”. News which, Max Saunders is “sure will make Graphite fans from White City to Shanghai very pleased”.

NORSTAR LONDON RAIDERS B vs BRIXTON OLD BOYS
Who is the last team you want to face after an 8-0 humilation? Yes, that’s right, Raiders away.
But that’s the prospect faces Paul Shamplina’s men who are still reeling from their pummelling at the hands of Camden Park.
Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong for Brixton last week. Boss Paul Shamplina told me: “For the fourth time this year, we had to have an outfield goal keeper go in goal, and along with five regulars missing, it was always going to be a massive ask.”
With the bookies pricing Brixton at 20-1 to win, may I be the bearer of some good news, which I’m sure Shamps can do with right now.
Raiders are missing no less than 11 regulars for Sunday’s clash. They battled past SPEC FC 3-1 last week but they were far from their best.
Boss Jonathan Adelman cannot wait for the winter break so his players can get some rest and relaxation. He told JC Sport: “It’s been a torrid few weeks for us with a decimated squad and whilst we have played pretty poorly at times, we have still found a way to pick up three points each week.
“We must do the same against Brixton this weekend if we are to have any hope of maintaining a promotion push.”
The formbook says Raiders and so do I.

REDBRIDGE JEWISH CARE B vs SPEC FC
I don't envisage Redbridge having too many problems against SPEC FC, with or without Daniel Garfinkle.
Jon Jacobs' men didn't have a game last week and he lent his top-scorer to the A-team and has repaid a handsome dividend in the shape of a hat-trick.
But RJC have many strings to their bow this season. The boy Garfinkle is just one of their weapons.
Raiders B moved three points clear last week, but RJC's destiny remains in their hands, as they have two games in hand. Jacobs knows his players can ill-afford and I don't expect them to have any problems whatsoever against a SPEC FC team in desperate need of points.
SPEC have four games remaining and every point they can get is crucial. I expect them to pack the midfield and try to stop RJC play, but as they found out a couple of weeks ago, that's easier said than done. They might even try to park the bus but not even that will stop this lean, mean RJC machine.

AC WHETSTONE vs JEWDINESE
Bouncebackability is the name of the game for both Whetstone and Jewdinese.
The Stones were edged out by Mill Hill despite some heroics from keeper Ben Pollins who is rapidly turning into one of the finest stoppers in the division. Toby Nathan scored a peach of a goal in a game of fine margins.
'Nese were ultimately well beaten by high-flying FC Team B. But now they are ready to go again.
I've heard rumours this week that manager Darren Lawrence has been asking chairman Jake Erlich about splashing the cash in the January window, with a top-quality striker order of the day.
There's still a few seats available for what promises to be an all-action affair.

FC TEAM C vs AC MILL
Having dropped out of the promotion zone last weekend, FC Team C boss David Gordon will be looking for a big reaction following his side's first defeat of the season.
They led three times against Raiders C, but were second best in the second half and their spirit and character will be tested by a Mill Hill team who climbed above them courtesy of a 2-1 win over Whetstone.
Ben Zloof was back to his best with a brace, with Ben Grabiner and Ben Kaye bossing things in midfield.
I'm predicting goals on Sunday as neither side keeps many clean sheets, defensive football just isn't in their make-up.
Both teams are packed with quality and match-winners and much depends on which side fairs better in the individual and collective battles.
It promises to be a real classic.

OAKWOOD B vs CATFORD & BROMLEY MACCABI
Haydon Davidson was the toast of Oakwood after they took L'Equipe to the cleaners.
He'll be looking to fill his boots again on Sunday against a Catford team who struggle to keep clean sheets.
Oaks boss Jason Stein has had a big smile on his face since the full-time whistle on Sunday, though I sense he's a little broiges. He told JC Sport: "It's a big game DC, but then again at this level, they're all big games.
"It's been a mixed week, I was clearly delighted to get the win against L'Equipe, but I was vexed not to receive the quote of the week award. I think I've won five times this year, but I'd already made some space on my mantelpiece. Well, I don't have a mantelpiece so I keep them on my beside table.
"Where were we. Catford & Bromley. The most difficult defeat of the season because we had no keeper, no centre backs and a shell of a side out. They're in for a massive surprise this weekend.
"Elliot Jackson, our skipper, made his return after a month out last weekend and the defence improved immeasurably with him in it and I hope that is again the case this weekend.
"We also welcome back the Geey brothers - Matthew and Daniel - and we can finally call upon loveable scouser, forward player, Jacob Nevitt once again.
"We're bang in form and nearly all of the players available last week are with us once again. We're keen to go out on a high before the mini-break."
"We know it'll be a tough game, especially as we won't be as used to playing on astro as Oakwood, but we'll be looking to extend our winning run if possible.
"We'll have to be on top of our game though as, despite the fact the scoreline in the last game made it seem closer than it really was, Oakwood had some very good players who we'll need to keep an eye on."
Goals are guaranteed and with home advantage, it's hard to look past the Oaks.

BOCA JEWNIORS vs KS REUNITED
There's absolutely no disgrace in losing to London Rovers this season. That's what Gabriel John would've told his troops after they were crushed 8-0.
I expect to see a big reaction from the Boca boys this Sunday. John had this down as a must-win a few weeks ago and nothing has changed.
John told JC Sport: “No disrespect to my players, but Rovers caught us with arguably out weakest squad of the season. Special mention should go to Brett Shulman who did very well in goal.
“Now we’re looking forward to Sunday, when Lioz Tov, one of the finds of the season, and Jack Goldsmith keen to impress.”
KS finished second best in the Essex derby last week, but they will fancy their chances on Sunday.
James Lewis told JC Sport: "We are hoping to get our first points on the board in four outings we know we have the players to do it and we hope to bounce back and prove our critics wrong.
"A big mention also to bit part squad player - Russell Goldstein - who despite being out of favour with KS, has been called up to the Futsal National Team, so best of luck and hopefully he can break into the KS team upon his return!"
With a lively surface expected in Pinner, expect some goals.

KS have confirmed that Jason Goldstein is out till the new year. James Ryan is unavailable as he is at Old Trafford in the hope Louis Van Gaal may call upon him to replace Rooney and Van Persie. Jamie Levrant is a doubt.

MACCABI LONDON LIONS GREEN vs FAITHFOLD B
Lions returned to some bad old habits against Shacharit Donetsk last weekend, when they were undone by the brilliance of Adam Ellis.
On Sunday it will be Faithfold's Dan Gordon looking to inflict more misery. He fired a treble in the excellent 4-0 win over Temple Fortune, with Leor Harel adding the gloss.
We've seen the best and worst of Lions this season, while Faithfold have been the model of consistency. And with keeper Dan Kosky and centre-back Josh Barnett in great nick, I'm going for another Faithfold win.

REAL SOSOBAD vs KING CROWN
If you're looking for a winter warmer on Sunday, head east. E17 will host one of the league's games of the day as league leaders King Crown put their unbeaten record on the line against promotion rivals Sosobad.
Crown boss Jacob Kadoch had been warning us that his team would click into gear any time now and it was Hendon B who felt the full wrath of them, with Phil Braham leading the way with a hat-trick in their ninth win in 10 games.
But it was Ricky Fox's display that impressive Kadoch the most, while Yoel Deal was at his magical best.
Kadoch told JC Sport: "We have a full team to choose from this weekend. The lads are starting to push on now especially after last week's performance. They are raring to go and we take one game at a time and this Sunday is like any week - three3 points is always a must.
"If the lads play anywhere near the level we did on Sunday, I fear for every team in the league."
On Sunday they face arguably their toughest test yet. Sosobad have kept four clean sheets this season - the latest coming in last week's derby win over KS Reunited.
Josh Jacobs was the star performer, with Adam Goodman and John Lessem grabbing the goals.
Boss Dan Shafron hailed his team's "professionalism" and, ahead of the visit of Crown, he told JC Sport: "We know this will be a massive challenge and one I know the team are relishing."
Ahead of Sunday, Shafron told JC Sport: "This will be an exciting encounter between two teams who play excellent football. We had a good result last week and all of my players are eager to earn their place in the starting XI this weekend.
"I believe we have been King Crown’s hardest test to date, maybe not by way of performance but certainly in terms of league stature. They have not played any of the other top teams yet. We were unfortunate not to have any defenders available on the opening day of the season and they took advantage of this.
"However we know what they are capable of, they are a big, strong, quick team with plenty of talented players and we know that we will have to be at our best to get three points.
"We are under no illusions that they will punish us if we allow our concentration to slip. I know we have the quality to win this game and my team have to be up for a battle."
There won't be an empty seat as Sosobad go in search of revenge following a 3-0 defeat away to Crown on the opening week of the season.
Both teams will go all out to win but come the 90 minute mark, I think both sets of fans will go home reasonably happy.

SHACHARIT DONETSK vs LONDON ROVERS
Part of me is disappointed Sky Sports haven't bid for exclusive rights to see the showdown between the amazing Avi Markiewicz and Shacharit talisman Adam Ellis.
Both men put in five-star performances on Matchday 14, with Markiewicz registering his fifth consecutive hat-trick as Rovers boosted their title hopes with a big win.
But manager Jeremy Brown is taking nothing for granted ahead of the trip to Hendon. He told JC Sport: "We're on top form right now and every week we've been stepping it up a gear.
"Last Sunday we were devastatingly ruthless and showed real signs that we can be champions come the end of the season.
"But I will keep telling the squad, we must remain focused and give nothing less than 100 per cent every week.
"We have a tricky game against a young and enthusiastic Shacharit side so we have to make sure we don't make any mistakes. We need to focus on each game as they come and not get carried away."
Ellis put Lions to the sword and it's clear that when he plays well, Shacharit play well. But man for man, Rovers have the edge, and most importantly, the momentum.

TEMPLE FORTUNE vs HENDON UNITED SPORTS CLUB B
Hendon will be looking to bounce back into form after last week's drubbing at the hands of King Crown when they face Temple Fortune on Sunday.
The sides meet for the second time in three weeks, and Hendon manager Adam Glekin is eager to get one over on his old club after last-minute heartbreak a fortnight ago.
Glekin told JC Sport: "I'm still not over losing the last game where we were by far the better team, and I'm glad we have a quick opportunity to put things right.
"I wasn't around last week but lets hope it was a one off, because every other game we've played we've been very competitive.
"I want six points from our next two games and I'll be telling the lads I won't settle for anything less. However, we won't be under-estimating Fortune - they have a good, strong team and will make life hard for us."
Fortune were also well beaten last week, but with key men returning, manager Jonathan Cohen expects them to be more competitive on Sunday. Having returned to the foot of the table, he knows the only way is up.
Both teams have struggled for goals this season, but I'm tipping Hendon to exact revenge.
JC team news: Hendon will be boosted by the return of top-scorer Benni Sluckis and key centre back Ezekiel Jacob. There is further good news for Glekin as he will be able to call upon the services of Saul Cohen, who scored two goals on his debut on the opening day of the season but hasn't featured since, having gone off to university.
Dave Sawyer, David Kendall and Richard Cooper all return to the Fortune squad.
