Maccabi GB Handball went down 28-6 against Fulham Hawks in their competitive debut.

The match was one MGB Handball will always remember, but perhaps not for the right reasons, as the side went down heavily against a Hawks team flying high at the top of the London Regional Division Two League.

Physicality was the name of the game for MGB as they had conceded a whopping 44 goals a week prior in their final pre-season friendly. However, this would not be the case again in SportHouse, Dagenham, as the defence stepped it up a notch to prohibit a repeat performance.

Special mention must go to goalkeeper, Joshua Pinhass, whose man-of-the-match heroics halted a potential onslaught, as did the aggression of Pivot, Daniel Sichel, who received two ‘Sin Bins’ throughout the game, not uncommon in the sport.
