The second half though was "as complete and mature a performance" as Raiders have produced this season. They scored early in the second half through the ever-impressive Marks and that deflated Lions somewhat.
Thereafter the midfield three of Kay, Joseph and the returning Mannie controlled the game and the only disappointment were the chances NLR missed to extend our lead.
NLR keeper Jake Doffman, though, was not called to make a save of note until the very last minute.
