South Mancs A upset the form book with a 4-3 win over title favourites Brady Maccabi A in the Maccabi Masters League Division One.
Brady’s goals came from David Rose, Mark Wagman (pen) and an own goal, but Joel Nathan (2), Paul Herszaft and Ilan Cohen consigned Brady to their first defeat of the season.
Elsewhere, Glenthorne United A thumped Hendon Harriers 4-1, with goals from Jason Levy (2), Greg Morris and Paul van Gelder. Glenthorne old boy Fara Moghim grabbed a consolation for the Harriers.
In Division Two, Glenthorne B continued their seemingly inexorable push towards the championship with a 6-1 win over Brady B. Gary Adams (4), Dave Galman and Gary Swerner were the marksmen. Malcolm Hershman scored Brady’s goal.
Marc Morris and David Pollock steered London Maccabi Lions past Norstar.
EDRS Stonegrove overcame Ashlodge 4-2, courtesy of a brace each from Martin Seifert and Phil Silver. John Seigal and Geoff Green replied for Ashlodge.
