Marks seals MJSL treble for Leeds Maccabi

It took just another 18 minutes for Marks to double the scoreline, picking up the ball inside his own half, racing clear, outpacing the Yellows defence and rounding the keeper.

Several other chances fell their way and the Mancunians were clearly glad to get in at half-time with no further damage at Boundary Park.

The second period saw various positional changes for Maccabi, Marks was halted with Nathan Pitt clearly making a huge difference with his defensive input.

Led ably by youngster Harry Landy, Leeds were in commanding form at the back, although a better connection from Moishe Hasid on another day may have made Leeds a little nervous in the last quarter.

Leeds continued to threaten as the game drew to a close, with the excellent Reece Levy denying them from close range on four occasions.

A marvellous treble had been won and a tribute to the team should be noted in terms of their respect, attitude and commitment which they have displayed in the MJSL.

Leeds boss Daniel Kristall told JC Sport: "It's a fantastic achievement for the boys to have won the treble for the first time.

"Although Jordan grabbed the headlines today, it’s been a real collective effort.

"The back four has been immense, they've not conceded since February.

"Different players have stepped up in different games and all our hard work has really paid off."
