There's only really one candidate for November's MGBSFL Player of the Month, and that man is Avi Markiewicz.
Twelve goals in four games. You can't argue with the stats. Simple as that.
It's also been a memorable few weeks for Los Blancos. They have shown great character to recover from a poor start and Jonathan Ison, my Manager of the Month, deserves huge credit for guiding the team into fourth spot in Division One.
The quality of hotshot Simon Moses and commanding defender Benjy Israel has offset any relegation fears. Instead their fans are dreaming about promotion after a magical four weeks. Their glass is definitely half full following a pair of victories over Camden Park, plus another against SPEC FC and a draw against Raiders B.
The brilliant Brad Wine has been my star man in the top-flight. Oakwood A joint-manager Ric Blank described him as "totally unplayable" a couple of weeks ago. And only last week, he said: "If there's a better player in Maccabi football I'd like to meet him, and sign him."
Faithfold, Redbridge, Raiders and Woodford. That's what champions Hendon A faced at the start of November and three wins out of four means that David Garbacz is the Premier Division's top boss.
Moving into Division One and summer arrival Daniel Garfinkle has been the toast of Redbridge Jewish Care B. His fabulous five-goal against SPEC FC was the icing on the cake.
There's double delight for FC Team C in Division Two, with the ever-versatile Matt Davis my star man. He bagged a brace in the draw against Jewdinese, caused defences numerous problems and produced some top-notch displays in nets against FC Team B.
And it's a London Rovers one-two in Division Three, with boss Jeremy Brown joining Markiewicz on the podium after leading the team to four consecutive victories, one more than table-toppers King Crown.
● MGBSFL goal-scoring records are always something of a hot potato, especially with no official records. One reader was keen to point out that former teammate Danny Regal went on a magical run in season 1995/96. He registered five consecutive hat-tricks for Hendon United in the old fourth division during an incredible run of 31 goals in 12 games. I salute you, Dan.
● It's been a tough few days for everyone connected to the world of cricket. But I'm pleased to report that Daniel Field recovered from a nasty blow to the head to smash a century at the Blind Cricket World Cup. The former Maccabi GB Sportsperson of the Year was injured in England's win over South Africa, a match where he took a stumping. Left with a cut and bad bruising, he missed the matches against India and Pakistan, but a swashbuckling 123 off 58 balls guided the team to victory over Bangladesh. Don't rule out brave Dan from lifting the top MGB award for a second time.
● I sense James Gold quite enjoys filling in for Jamie Kyte at MLL Blue. With the gaffer away, Gold completed the scoring in the cup mauling of Shacharit Donetsk. Dedicating the win to the absent Kyte, he said: "We wish Jamie a big mazel tov following his engagement. Hopefully he gets priorities in order and is back in the dugout next week!"
