Manchester Maccabi moved into the second round of the Maccabi GB National Knockout Cup after beating Bury & Whitefield by 30 runs.

Good work with the new ball from Josh Rose restricted Maccabi to 6-2. Simon Jeffries (25) held the innings together but good work from Mason and Schogger, who also chipped in with two wickets apiece in economical spells, frustrated Maccabi.

Young all-rounder Adam Goldstone (15) who led from the front with a measured knock on a bowler-friendly track, aided by his team-mates lower down the order who all chipped in with runs to push Maccabi over the 100-mark despite Levington grabbing three late wickets in a tight spell of his own.

Maccabi gamely batted through to the final over of their innings ending their innings on a creditable 105.
