Whitefield won the Coombe Hill Trophy for the best team aggregate gross at the Seniors Trophy, held at Edmonstown Golf Club in Dublin.

Hosted by the Association of Jewish Golf Clubs and Societies, the tournament featured teams of six for players aged 55 and over.

The Manchester club’s victory in the major prize saw them pip Moor Allerton to the post, and forced them to settle for the Potters Bar Trophy. Dyrham Park won The North East Trophy for the best team aggregate net.

Blustery conditions could not prevent Joe Dowling of Moor Allerton won the Hartsbourne Trophy for the best gross score with a score of 80. He outscored Dyrham Park’s Jeff Hemmings by one shot. Hemmings’s consolation for second place was the Sussex Trophy.
