MAL 2nd went down by 22 runs in a well-contested friendly against Crouch End.

Michael Klinger, on his first outing as captain for MAL 2nd, lost the toss and was asked to field by the opposition captain Felix Middleton, who according to the reporter is no relation to Kate.

Anthony Cowan opened the bowling with Klinger and both were very economical with the score on 20–2 after 10 overs, Lazar catching at point off Cowan's bowling and Klinger getting his second run out in two weeks after a mix-up between the batsman and good work in the field by Rubenstein.

With the game reduced to 35 overs due to the rain, Avi Gelley and Lazar bowled in extremely tough conditions. Lazar bowled well with his off-stump line and Gelley kept the pressure on with a good tight spell which enabled MAL to keep the run rate down.
