Anton Radiven says Manchester Maccabi Yellow are about to discover if they are genuine MJSL title contenders.
The Yellows have been the surprise packages after winning four matches in a row. Their latest triumph came via a Roy Fux winner against South Manchester Sports 3rd.
And now the acid tests arrives when they face favourites and reigning champions Leeds Maccabi.
Radiven said: “We have exceeded expectations. That is a credit to the boys. How far can we go? We will soon find out if they are realistic title contenders.
"Leeds are the strongest side so if we can match them we are certainly in with a shout this year.
"You can’t keep playing down your chances when you are winning every week. If we can continue to play like we have and keep the momentum up then why not?"
Radiven hailed the fighting quality of his newly-assembled side.
He added: “We have been trailing in two of our four games so we have had to show character to come back to win games.
"That is also testament to our fitness. We never know when we are beaten. Sammy Dennison and Jason Deach, our two wingers have been outstanding, but it’s been a real team effort."
