Maccabi Tel Aviv go into next week’s Europa League Round of 32 first-leg clash with Basel at Bloomfield Stadium having opened a six-point lead in Ligat Ha’al.
Maccabi recorded a 3-1 victory over second-placed Hapoel Beersheva with goals from Rada Pritza, Carlos Garcia and Barak Yizhaki. They are now well- placed to clinch back-to-back titles.
Manager Paulo Sousa said: "I believe in this team and although the league is our priority, we are playing well and have a great chance of beating Basel."
