Manchester Maccabi 1st boosted their Tameside League Division One title hopes with an 8-1 demolition of Peggs.
Doubles from Jacob Richler-Kleiman and Adam Lavin plus one apiece from Jeremy Greene, Andy Rosenberg, Rafi Leker and Mark Woolfe completed the rout for Stuart Delmonte's men.
Maccabi took the lead inside two minutes when Lavin set up Richler-Kleiman to slot home. A smart save from keeper Dan Garman kept the lead intact before Greene doubled the lead after half an hour, firing home after Lavin had an effort cleared off the line.
Maccabi added a third at the start of the second half when Leker's corner was steered home by Rosenberg at the far post. Leker registered the fourth with an 18-yard lob following good work from Woolfe.
Danny Hanson grabbed a consolation for Peggs but Maccabi restored the four-goal advantage moments later with Richler-Kleiman converting another pass from Lavin.
Woolfe made it 6-1 before Lavin scored the goal of the game with 10 minutes left. He skipped past five players before side-stepping the keeper to slot home. Josh Lewis set up Lavin for his second and Maccabi's eighth as the Brooklands club moved a step closer to the treble.
Joint-manager Stuart Delmonte said: "The match was not as one-sided as the scoreline suggests but we were clinical in front of goal. That was the
difference."
Maccabi now prepare for a clash with league leaders Old Ball in the League Two Divisional Cup semi-final.
