Manchester Maccabi are already planning for the new campaign with pre-season training starting on Sunday.
Former 2nd team managers Stuart Delmonte and Tony Rosenberg recently took charge of the club's first team and with the help of some former England, Manchester United, Manchester City and Blackburn Rovers players, they believe that they can help the club become the best in the community once more.
Having finished bottom of the Eccles League Premier Division last season, Delmonte and Rosenberg will lead Maccabi into the Thameside League Division One.
The team will also compete in the Thameside FA Cup, Divisional Cup, County Cup and Peter Morrison Trophy.
Delmonte said: "We want to bring ethos of professionalism into the club. All we want to do is consolidate this year and start to build something. Anything we do this year is a bonus.
"In training, we're looking for dedication, application and commitment. It's an even playing field for everyone.
Discipline is a key factor as far as Rosenberg is concerned. He said: "Last season our disciplinary record was second to none. We had two bookings all season."
The pair have overseen a partnership with the World At Your Feet coaching scheme which will sees the squad put through their paces by the likes of former England winger Lee Sharpe, Tony Coton, Nicky Summerbee, Michael Gray (ex-England), Ian Fitzpatrick and David Fitzpatrick. As part of their preparations, Manchester are looking to arrange a friendly against a World at your feet Soccer XI.
Rosenberg said: “We both know how we want the game should be played. I believe it should be played in the right manner, how they behave physically and mentally. We won’t accept attitude from players.
“We hope that Manchester Maccabi will be in existence in 50 years time. No player is bigger than the club and we want the boys to play for each other. Obviously I’d love to win every comp we enter but the priority is to get team on even keel, consolidate and hopefully build a foundation and then build a house on the foundation. We’re looking forward to season.”
Greg Louca and Simon Kaye will manage Manchester’s 2nd team with Martin Simons and Jonny Rose leading the 3rds.
The club are keen to bring in Londoners starting university in Manchester this year. Trials take place at Manchester Maccabi's Brooklands home at 9.45 this Sunday.
