Andy Miller was Scrabble Harmen's two-goal hero as the newly-amalgamated team made a rip-roaring start to the new Maccabi Masters League season.

Playing against Faithfold, who have rejoined the league after a couple of seasons out, Scrabble Harmen forged into a two-goal lead, before Faithfold hit back through Ben Simons and Jonny Mack.

But Scrabble Harmen finished the stronger, and ran out 4-2 winners, with Jeremy Kornhauser and Jonny Summerfield completing the scoring.

Faithfold manager David Garson, admitted to being disappointed, but was philosophical in defeat: "Whilst I would have hoped that we would have played better, the match was played in an excellent spirit, with a very good referee, and we look forward to being back in the Masters League."
