A hat-trick from Scott Warren saw defending champions NORTH LONDON RAIDERS drop points for only the second time this season as they played out a thrilling 4-4 draw against BRADY MACCABI.
Tim Green registered Brady's other goal, with Tony Plaskow (2), Wayne Davidson and Nicky Skone on target for Raiders.
But goals were at a premium elsewhere in the Maccabi Masters League, with SCRABBLE and WALDAF TOWN finishing honours even.
Returning Scrabble legend, Tim Levene, netted on his Masters comeback, but a last-minute deflected own goal from Nigel Goldthorpe gave Waldaf a deserved point.
The goals were equally hard to come by in Division Two. HENDON HARRIERS looked to have secured their first point of the season with a goalless draw against MARSHSIDE, only to be denied by Phil Meyer’s last-minute strike, leaving Harriers manager Perry Greenblatt ‘gutted’.
EDRS STONEGROVE came back from a goal down to beat GLENTHORNE, with player-manager Ian Leader scoring twice after the break to give them a 2-1 win after Gary Adams had given Glenthorne an early advantage.
BRADY MACCABI B notched up only their second win of the campaign as Darren Nathan and an own goal gave them the slenderest of victories over ST JOHN'S WOOD TIGERS, for whom Andrew Cohen netted.
