League newcomers Southgate Harmen moved into a title contention with a 3-0 win over South Mancs, thanks to goals from Simon Gold, Johnny Mack and Paul Stein in Division One.

The top two in Division Two extended their lead, with Glenthorne B enjoying an emphatic 6-0 win over Hendon Harriers. Adam Hart (2), Greg Morris (2), Dave Michaels and Paul van Gelder were the marksmen.

EDRS almost matched them with a 5-0 victory over Marshside. Tony Platman claimed a second half hat-trick, adding to goals from Martin Seifert and Marc Schneiderman.

Meanwhile, St John's Wood Tigers found themselves 2-0 down at half-time to goals from Glenthorne C's Gary Swerner and Nigel Grunberg. And despite Gary Grant saving a Tigers penalty, goals from Perry Somers and Gary Starr brought the scores level and the points were shared.
