Result of the day belonged to HMH, who also came from behind to beat title challengers CHIGWELL ATHLETIC 2-1, thanks to a spectacular overhead kick from James Pincus and a goal from James Temple. Mark Conway had opened the scoring for Chigwell.

Elsewhere in Division One of the Maccabi Masters League, BRADY MACCABI A came back from two goals down at the interval to beat Waldaf Town 3-2, courtesy of goals from Mark Wagman and Gavin Sherman, and a penalty dispatched by Scott Warren.

In the Nathan Horwitz Division 2 Cup, EDRS STONEGROVE cruised to an 8-0 win over HENDON HARRIERS, thanks to goals from Ian Sassoon, Jon Holman, Tony Platman, Ian Leader, Russell Rich, Mark Kingston and Martin Seifert (2).

And in Division 2, BRADY B came close to a remarkable comeback after falling 4-0 behind to MARSHSIDE, but goals from Brady’s Trevor Tucker (2), Pete Sugarman and a free-kick from Gary Rose still weren’t enough, as Marshside eventually won 5-4 thanks to goals from Sam Nourazi, Darren Coon, Fara Moghim, Alex Mamouri and Darren Manning.
