Youth conquered experience in the opening round of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Cup, as North London Raiders and Scrabble both enjoyed comfortable wins over Division Two opposition.

Raiders secured their place in the next round with a 7-0 win over Marshside, with Ben Simons (3), Wayne Davidson, Hezi Yechiel, Dave Eden and James Cartmell all netting.

Scrabble’s win was even more emphatic, with goals from Stefan Simons (4), Steven Moss (3), Dan Ruckin, Dan Lewis and a penalty from Jeremy Kornhauser earning them a 10-0 victory over St John's Wood Tigers.

In the League, Temple Fortune edged out Hendon Harriers in their Division Two encounter. Andy Diamond and Kevin Blake scored for Harriers, but goals from Robert Botkai (2) and Yali Mamouri ensured that the points went Fortune’s way.
