A 90th minute strike from Serge Cowan saw Scrabble recorded their third league win of the season as they put a significant dent in Chigwell’s title aspirations.

Lions A earned four points out of a possible six in a Division One double-header against Brady Maccabi A. Scott Ansher (penalty) and Alex Bourne had given Brady a 2-0 lead but inspired by the appearance of late substitutes Paul Lenchner and Alex Levack, the Lions hit back late on to draw.

Lenchner halved the deficit with a close-range tap-in after Paul Gelertner had reacted superbly to keep out his initial strike with five minutes remaining, before a Levack corner was converted by Michael Abraham to break Brady's hearts in the final stages.

In the second leg, another goal from  Bourne and one from Kevin Lotzof weren’t enough for Brady as Lions won 4-2 with goals from Levack,  Abraham (2) and a long-range chip from Adam Brand.
