A deadly double from Mark Wagman steered BRADY MACCABI A into the final of the Henry Swerner Maccabi Masters League Cup following a 2-1 win over North London Raiders.
Tony Plaskow pulled one back for Raiders but it is Brady who will play the winner of next weekend’s second semi-final between Chigwell Athletic and Waldaf Town.
In the Maccabi Masters Division 1, having scored in the first minute against Scrabble, CHIGWELL had to wait until after the interval to extend their lead, but goals from Steve Summers (3), Dean Nyman (2) and Adam Stolerman eventually earned them a 6-0 victory that puts them within touching distance of their first ever Masters title.
Victory over the same opponents in their final match in three weeks’ time will see them take the trophy.
Meanwhile, in Division Two, goals from Danny Schindler (2), Michael Abraham, Max Radford, Darren Coon and an own goal ensured that champions MACCABI LONDON LIONS not only beat TEMPLE FORTUNE 6-0, but completed their league season with a perfect record of 14 wins out of 14.
And ST JOHN'S WOOD TIGERS crushed HENDON HARRIERS 6-2 thanks to goals from Jonny Feinmesser (2), Perry Somers, Adam Soller, John Perloff and Paul Herszaft. Brian Deal and Ian Sumray replied for Harriers.
