Peter Morrison Maccabi Masters came back from the dead to win a sensational Peter Morrison Trophy last-16 tie, thanks to an extra-time strike by sub Laurence Swerner.
The balance of the match, which saw a hat-trick from Mark Wagman, constantly swung, with Glasgow coming from 2-0 down to lead 3-2, before Masters went 4-3 up. Glasgow then led 5-4 early on in extra-time before Masters struck twice more.
Masters boss Daniel Collins said: "Glasgow seemed reluctant to press. But full credit must go to our players. To play 120 minutes against a side that had about 15 years on us on average was a great credit."
With Glasgow flying down on the morning of the match, Masters looked more fresh, and Wagman struck two brilliant goals early on; the first a chest control and half-volley from a Scott Ansher free-kick; the second he looped over a defender's head before striking past the finger-tips of Alan Jacobson.
The visitors turned the tie on its head with three goals, two from the inspirational Nick Goodman sandwiched by a tap-in from Daniel Kersh. The lead lasted just five minutes as striker Nick Collins' beautifully flighted free-kick gave Jacobson no chance.
The match then swung from end to end before a disastrous mis-kick by Jacobson allowed Ansher to slot the ball into an empty net 15 minutes from time. With Masters' legs beginning to tire, Danny Gardner fired home to force extra-time. Laurence Judah looked to have settled it but Wagman completed his a hat-trick before Swerner won it with the last kick of the match.
Glasgow coach Alan Dixon said: "We went for two up front and created plenty of chances. Goodman was superb for us but he tired in extra-time and that played into their hands."
