Maccabi Tel Aviv are planning to continue to capitalise on the NBA lock-out after going joint-top of their EuroLeague group.

New Jersey Nets point guard Jordan Farmar scored 27 points as Maccabi beat Real Madrid 88-82 at Yad Eliyahu. The win leaves Maccabi tied at the top of their group with two wins from three games.

Farmar, who was picked as the MVP of the round, said: "The crowd was amazing. We played a good aggressive game and that helped us beat one of the best teams in Europe."

Maccabi's coach David Blatt said: "I don't want to think about the day that the NBA lock-out ends and Farmar returns home."
