EMG Maccabi GB will send an 18-man junior football squad to the 13th European Maccabi Games in Vienna next July.
Managed by Joel Nathan, the squad has been whittled down from 70 applications nationwide.
Nathan said: “I have chosen the best 18 Maccabi affiliated footballers. The squad has been chosen based on its balance and flexibility with the ultimate goal of bringing home the gold medal.
"However just as important is for the squad to understand and be a part of the whole cultural and educational experience that will also be a major part of the games."
“The success of the squad will be determined by various factors including pre-games friendlies and training sessions but more importantly the team bonding that will develop over the next 8 months. The coaches and I, along with the management team, will have them prepared to the highest standard possible.”
