CHESHAM LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION
MANCHESTER MACCABI 1st 2 SOUTH MANCHESTER SPORTS CLUB 1st 0
Manchester Maccabi walked away with the three points after the two sides met for the first time this season in the Chesman League.
In a very close game, chances were few and far between. South were denied what seemed a very strong penalty appeal on the half hour and whilst Jake Finestein lay faced down in the penalty area, Maccabi counter-attacked and scored the first goal of the game, with Sam Hatton chipping in from 40 yards, despite South complaining to the referee.
Maccabi scored their second of the game five minutes into the second half, a close-range header from David Herman from Omry Perel’s cross, after a well-worked short corner was not dealt with by South.
