I'm probably one of the few people out there without a ticket for the London Olympics. On the same note, I've also spent a large part of the week trying to obtain a ticket for Sunday's Carling Cup final at Wembley. In the end I came up trumps, with a little help from my friends.

It's been a case of tickets here, tickets there, but on Wednesday morning I had what many would describe as the dream ticket. A meeting with Lord Coe.

Some of my fondest sporting childhood memories are of his great battles with Steve Ovett. I was always in the Coe camp. So to meet the man who helped bring the Olympics to London was something quite special.

He is as impressive off the track as he was on it and it's clear to me that he won't rest until the summer Games are declared a roaring success.
