Newly-crowned champions London Lions were defeated for the second time in the league this season – and the first time away from home – when they lost by the odd goal at last season’s champions Standon & Puckeridge.

All seemed to be business as usual when Charlie Kasler – returning to the starting line-up after a four month injury lay off – smashed in a fabulous opener on 25 minutes as Lions went in one up at the break.
The second half saw Standon fire back with a goal just after the re-start to equalise.
It got worse for Lions as Hatchwell felled his opponent to concede a penalty, which the home team converted.
