London Lions cruised into the next round of the Herts Centenary Trophy with a comfortable win at home to Cuffley at Rowley Lane.
Cuffley had lost narrowly at Lions earlier in the season, but their lowly position in the table gave a hint that it was going to be another win for the team that has only lost once in all competitions so far.
The home team made a quick start when good play on the right between Adam Lipman and Josh Kennet saw the former find Austin Lipman who slid the ball home for 1-0.
Cuffley responded with a equaliser and showed they were not going to lie down, but this did not last long as Lions effectively killed the game by half-time.
Charlie Kasler netted a quickfire double, including one deflected effort from distance, before wing-man Adam Burchell scored a great solo goal to make it 4-1 at the interval.
Lions continued to dominate after the break, and were able to retain possession at ease as the game was no longer a contest.
Lipman scored his second of the game followed by another from Burchell to make it 6-1 before Cuffley got another consolation.
Manager Andy Landesberg said ‘We were very professional today, and kept our standards high. We could have won by a greater margin but I was pleased with what we did.
"We move on to the next round of a cup we’d like to win again.
"Individually, I thought Austin Lipman was excellent in attack and deserved his goals."
