A hat-trick from Benjamin Lederman earned London Maccabi Vale 2nd a 48-run victory over Olympians.

After a slightly belated start due to the late arrival of the opposition, LMV were asked to bat first on a very dry Rowley Lane wicket.

David Freedman and Benjamin Lederman opened the innings together for the second consecutive week. Freedman did not last long as he was bowled in the second over. Jeff Permutt came in at No. 3, and he and Lederman played carefully against accurate bowling.

A change of bowling allowed for a little more expansive play and by the drinks break after 20 overs they had taken the score to 93, with Lederman starting to find his range with some powerful drives especially through the off side.
